Harvesting the Future is a mini-film documentary showing one of the FAO EU Food Facility Project activities in Cambodia. It is telling how important tarpaulins and rice seed storage bins are for Cambodian farmers who still practice traditional method for rice cultivation. Twenty percent of rice production is lost during rice seed harvesting in Cambodia every year. The inputs of the project is very important to reduce these post-harvest losses. The FAO European Union Food Facility Project entitled "Improve the food security of farming families affected by volatile food prices" funded by European Union aims at reducing the effects of volatile food prices through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The project focuses on sustainable increase in productivity, improved access to agricultural inputs and services, diversification in production and consumption, improved feeding family feeding practices and resource management.
