Harvesting Rice in Japan, Japanese Famers and City Folk
Each year some Japanese people from the city who want a traditional experience help farmers with the rice harvest. This video was made in Kanagawa just outside urban Tokyo.

just because we are Americans it doesn't mean we are fat, we use combines not because we are lazy but it is more efficient and faster, which means more money and more food to supply our demands.

WE in the eastern part of India cannot think of harvesting rice mechanically, we do it manually with the help of sickle .It is very nice to see the method of drying on poles but do it in the field it self.Pl watch folk varieties Dr Debal Deb. Anupam Paul Kolkata
