I thought that the $2000 USD that my husband and I had to pay to get his permanent residency was outrageous! I'm just astounded and a little appalled at how government is pricing this...

No dislikes. Awesome!

The scenes in this video are lovely! I live in the countryside in the USA and it is great to see this side of Korea as most images in the media are of metro life.
I teach conversational English to Koreans via internet. I really enjoy watching your videos to learn about Korean and it's culture as well as finding topics to discuss during the lessons. The Korean culture is fascinating and the people are so pleasant and kind! Keep the videos coming. I also enjoy your comics! -
so cool! can the rice be eaten just after harvesting or do the rice grains need another "treatment" (like drying some more or something like that) I wonder how just harvested rice tastes like?!! is it different from rice you buy from the store (and different from the rice in Australia?!) i know there's different variety of rice but I mean "in general". personally I like round "sushi" type rice better than indian basmati or other very slim grains like that. what about you two?

awesome video on korean rural life with western music

Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. I never stopped to think how much work went into harvesting rice. Thanks to you and your family on behalf of my family, we love to eat rice! Much love and respect. 💙 ❤

Due to the country size, farming land must be priceless in SK, is most farmland pass down from family to family.

LOVED watching this. It's so heartwarming to see life in the countryside.

That was awesome! And it's great to see the young people helping out!

That's a pretty impressive machine. I've always wondered how much work goes into harvesting rice. It seems like it might take so many plants to be able to harvest enough for a bowl of rice. By any chance are these rice fields seasonally flooded? Or perhaps not all rice needs very wet soil conditions? Thank you for sharing!

I always wondered how they harvested rice. thnx

I have been helping to harvest with my boyfriends father on the farm where he works, I was lifting bundles of sesame and helping them beat the seeds out. There were so many spiders coming out D:

Another nice video. Good stuff.

I want to invest on that machine... BUT IT COSTS MORE THAN A MILLION!

You may notice that there are also younger guys harvesting. This is unusual for the Korean countryside. Usually there are only old people left working on farms. These guys are different and are actually filming a documentary about traveling the world and learning farming techniques and coming back to the countryside to farm. We are hoping more younger people start moving back to the countryside.
