Hand digging a well in Malawi
I Travelled to Malawi in south east Africa to volunteer with an Irish charity called Wells for Zoe. I spent 6 weeks in Mzuzu, located in the northern region and during my time there carried out a wide variety of work including digging a well on the charities farm with some of the workers and a few other volunteers. This particular well would be used for irrigation purposes. It was quite a rewarding experience. Wow! Great video! I want to do that! Looks like so much fun! Life is what you make it! And water is good!

Why do you let them dig it by hand???
Many colaps, people die, but most of all they ain't deep enough and will be dry within 6 months to a year.

Would be so funny if when he was dancing the hole caved in and killed him

I feel bad for them I only had to dig like 20 feet under and I found water

The soil is red because of iron oxides; ours is black because of the higher amount of organisms living in it.
