Growing tea and making tisanes
Sarah shows us her patch of scented leaf pelargoniums, and talks through her favourite varieties for making herbal tea. To compare she makes a tisane of mint and lemon verbena, and also talks through the practicalities of using glass tisanieres. Sarah discusses the many uses of scented leaf pelargoniums in cooking, and how she adds them to her hot baths for a luxurious scent. Very interesting, Sarah. I drink a lot of herbal tea, but have never grown my own herbs for it...I would like to start. Do you dry your herbs for tea also? Is the tea making process the same for dried herbs as it is for fresh?
