Rue has an oil that back in the day gave me blisters that lasted for two months. I found out the key is to not handle it when the sun's out and the plant is secreting oil. You have to be careful with it. Needless to say, I haven't grown it since.

I use Rue for ear ache. It grows fast and it has a strong smell, but it is a pretty plant.
