Growing Green Gram in Nepal

This video documents the feedback of a Nepali farmer who now grows green gram as a transitional crop. In Nepal, CSISA has facilitated strategic, system-based research and production of green gram seed and grain in more than 600 farmers' fields across four districts. Owing to the success of this intervention Nepal's Department of Agriculture has officially endorsed green gram as a transitional crop between wheat-rice cropping systems in its regional program.
