Growing Feijoa Fruit Trees in Australia Like the grafted Feijoas Unique, Duffy or Apollo
Feijoas can produce lots of fruit and taste a little bit like a guava as they are related. They can be grown in subtropical parts of Australia in QLD all the way down to the Warm Temperate areas of Victoria. We talk about cross pollination of the different varieties and how planting them together can allow for a year round evergreen edible hedge. Not only that the flowers can be eaten along with the fruit. A truly amazing fruit tree that is becoming more and more popular as more people taste their flavour and then see their very special dense foliage. I have one of these trees, not sure of the variety and it is about 6 years old and just fruited for the first time. The fruit were very small like about the size of a marble to one of about a pea. but they all tasted good. it was fruiting untill just the other day Late May here in Victoria.
