I bought a blackberry plant last year. It grew then when it reached winter it like completely died and the canes are growing outwards like a starburst not upwards. Maybe because I didn't put any trellis for it. When spring came I can see that it's growing to come to life but it was kind of like frozen in time few week pass by and nothing much is happening. The old canes are taking forever to produce any leaves so I went madman and cut off all the shoots. After I did that it started growing like crazy sending out new shoots and growing lots of leaves. Now it's growing like crazy but leaves only. The plant is 1 to 1.5 years old. It's reaching the end of spring into summer now and it does is produce leaves. I use seaweed and fish organic fertilizer, I have compost and I also did sprinkle some grind up egg shells. Am I doing something wrong why wont it grow flowers? Sorry about the long comment. Ignore me if it's too much trouble.

Yet another awesome vid. Do you have any videos, or any advice on potting up some new blueberry plants I bought for my husband's birthday? I will be growing them in containers too. I did a search but couldn't see any vids on this by you. I like your videos because you explain everything so well and show just how to do things. But I will settle for your good advice!

I just want to warn that beware of the tiny white n black coloured insects which hide on it. these r sticky insects and they don't come out easily. while washing them nicely the berry is crushed most of the time as it's very soft when it's ripe. so to avoid this I keep them submerged in water for half n hour then the insects automatically come out
