Growing Ashitaba - The Miracle Herb
Growing Ashitaba ANGELICA KEISKEI The Miracle Herb I received a few seeds from a viewer labeled "ASHITABA". That was it. No other info. So I set out trying to find more information. Apparently this herb is native to China and can grow up to 6 feet high. The one thing that intrigued me most about it, was the fact that it contained vitamin B12, which is rare for any plant to have. Ashitaba This herb, also known as tomorrow's leaf , is hardy to 20 degrees F and is usually grown in zones 7-9. The name "tomorrow's leaf" comes from the fact that you can pick a leaf today, and get a new one the next. I really excited to grow this plant. Hopefully, I will grow it to full maturity and be able to save the seeds to share with my viewers. (From Horizon Herbs Website): The herb is considered effective in treating eczema and psoriasis, also disorders of the gastrointestinal system, hepatitis, cancer, anemia, chronic fatigue, etc. In-vivo tests of chalcones have shown strong antibiotic activity against staphylococcus. visit our website: www.growyourheirlooms.com

HI! i have a seedling here of Ashitaba that is less than 1 feet. Does that already have a yellow sap inside or do I have to wait longer for it to grow more?

you might also enjoy gynura procumbens it dies back during winter but seems to pop right back up during the warm months. I planted one in my yard and thought for sure it had died and it has come back stronger then ever it even put up with abuse from me by not watering it for a good long while. another plant i got that acted this way was the jujube which i will admit has some very unpleasant thorns but it is a nice looking fruiting tree and definately worth while.

Sounds like an interesting plant. I have B12 deficiency so am definitely interested in this one. Will have to see if I can find some seeds somewhere. It sounds like the salad burnett (a type of herb I've never heard of) that I grew from seed. Took for ever to germinate and I read online that it needs light to germinate which is total opposite of every other seed out there. After I moved it under the lights it germinated within a few days.

I saw the name and instantly starting thinking "Aprils Fools". A-shit-aba doesn't sound like a real deal, so I was wondering what date this video was posted. Maybe April 2 is for real and I am really hoping so from the description. Now I see a lot of other folks are offering video on this plant also and it has B-12? Dang, this has my interest! And seeds to share? Outstanding. The hot and dry issue is a big deal here also.
