Growing apples from seeds in the Philippines

Trying my luck on germinating apple seeds...again! I already failed a couple of years ago. The seeds germinated but died as soon as the small leaves started sprouting. Now with some research and personal technique it seemed that the plant is more vigorous. The soil is a mixture of burnt rice hull, compost and some coco peat i think. I germinated the seeds in the refrigerator first then replanted it on the said soil mixture. I also put some few drops of plant hormone (hormex solution) as soon as the plant started sprouting out of the soil. For a more controlled atmosphere, I placed them inside my nepenthes terrarium.
