Growing Animal Fodder at 7 Hills Tallarook Farm Stay - Victoria Australia
Taylan Atar, owner of both: http://www.sevenhillstallarook.com.au/ and http://www.thefarmstore.com.au/ walks us through the animal fodder (feed) growing operation in place at 7 Hills Tallarook, a Farm Stay and Goat Farming operation about an hour north of Melbourne, Australia. He explains what they grow and how they grow it - sustainably. 7 Hills is an almost completely off-grid property with solar power system and water catchment and transport system running throughout the property. Tay and the team at 7 Hills use the products they sell via The Farm Store website on their own property daily, so feel free to contact them for more information on anything farming related and they will be happy to assist!

can they rely only on this fodder throught the year or they need something else with this

This is supposed to be about a little water conservation also. Duh. Lots of wasted water in this system.

Just what I needed for my homework

Can I use corn for fodder? Or regular rice seed? I don't have access to wheat or barley

Mate: its OK to say I don't know! Don't say " there is no real scientific evidence " when u mean " i haven't done my research " . For example vitamin A in 7 day old germinated barley is at 600% what u find in dry barley. Proteins level through the roof from day 1 to day 7 .. then slowly decline. Digestibility goes from 30% (dry barley) to 81-83% in the germinated product. Mineral content improves, fiber mass improves. Edinburgh university has provided (in late 2011) fodder enthusiasts, concrete scientific data that outline the benefits of germinated fodder.

love the american/australian accent of the guy behind the camera.
to answer charlive23 question yes it can get mold but as long as you rinse the sprouted seeds in a diluted bleach bath before putting on trays you won't get it, some fodder growers like to find a more natural solution like grapeseed oil as an antibacterial agent (clove oil is also an edible antibacterial but i'm not sure how palatable it is) -
If you keep the temps under 65 degrees faren, no.

Does get any molds ?

WORLD RECORD: BIGGEST WIND TURBINE Visit: ABOUTSOLARCELLS.COMXA.COM ZERO-NOISE from gears and generators since they're sealed underground. SAVES THE BIRDS AND BATS since the turbines are slow-moving. DOES NOT NEED TO OCCUPY A WIDER LANDSCAPE since the turbine can be very tall. MAY BE LOWER-COST since it can use parts of junked trucks and others. ELUDES HURRICANE FORCE since the blades automatically close. HELPS THE WIND ENERGY COMPANIES since it is FREE FOR ALL.
