Enjoyed the video, and agree this is preferable to hydroponics. I have worms, and I add some of my garden soil to it, a cup of so for the perfect fungi/microbe blend. I add a teaspoon of so to flowerpots, because plants do not grow as well without them. Luckily, the microbes float in on dust, but that is slower. I do not put big chunks of food scraps, I run them through the blender every day and pour them in the compost bin. The extra I dig little holes around my garden and pour them in. Not to mention I rough chunk scraps for my chickens, they love them. I use chicken manure in the garden as well, sprinkling it around dry every fall. I let my chickens free range part of the time, they eat bugs; however, in winter I give them a few worms to eat. They runs around like crazy with them, moaning like little gourmands. I have a bigger garden space, though. This might be great for the edge of my driveway, my sunniest spot.

Video is so long. No thank you.

Too much stuff added that the plants don't need. The first potting mix should be sufficient.

Oh I understand about the peat bogs I do but you also can not buy what's not for sale in your area. Not a lot of Grow Shops around in my area either. Since the medical cannabis laws are not that liberal in my area they tend to go out of business rather quickly. It is like trying to find a store that has craft brewing supplies. Looking at a 3 hour drive one way since cannabis is grown year round though I might be able to find some. It is winter now and we have about 4 feet of snow on the ground so even peat would be mission impossible this time of year. Point of interest peat was used in place of coal for a long time in many parts of the UK for heating and cooking. Prob. the only good thing that has come from harvesting the peat bogs is the discovery of insanely old almost perfectly preserved people from the past!

Question, Currently building a vertical garden, need to know the compost tube protrudes from the bottom of the barrel about 2 inches and on the inside the holes inside the compost tube stops around 4" from the bottom of the barrel, does this mean the space in between is constantly filled with water as it has nowhere to drain.

I just moved to a warm climate I just got the new Tower and I love it. Can't for spring again.. The growing season here is much longer than it was back east. I got a dolly from Home Depot and plan on putting the tower on it, it will screw it on. Always love your videos. Thanks. Do you have a tower that is full?
