Food for Nine Billion. As its farmers get too old to till the soil, Japan grapples with a question that many industrialized nations now face: Who will grow our food in the future?

How about a "Birth Control for 7 Billion" initiative so we don't inevitably become 9 billion? I don't accept the whole premise of coddling mindless growth as some sort of noble cause. Look at all the damage it's already done. There's far more at stake than just feeding people. The future of wilderness and other species is a huge side effect of too many people eating away at nature. Humans are not innocent victims in all this. They just breed without conscience or any real thought to the future.
