Gory murder-suicide: man beheads his own mom, jumps in front of LIRR train in New York
What happened on Tuesday night in the relatively quiet village of Farmingdale in Long Island, just east of New York City, reads like something out of a script for a Halloween nightmare movie. While details remain sketchy, authorities believe a 30-year-old man cut off his mother’s head on a street near the Farmingdale Apartment Complex on Tuesday night. The as-yet unnamed man then walked a few blocks to the rail crossing at Clinton Avenue and killed himself by leaping in front of the eastbound Long Island Railroad train. Passengers were taken off the train and bused to their destinations as police investigated the apparent grisly murder-suicide.
