GOOD GOVERNANCE NEWS - Tupi farmers' group is recognized

In good governance news, a Philippine farming organization is recognized as a world class organic banana exporter. The Tupi Balangon Farmers' Association of the South Cotabato Province ships at least 16 metric tons of bananas to Japan a week. They are also enlarging their production areas to Southern Mindanao, the Philippines. Training and assistance were provided in agricultural practices by the United States Agency for International Development through its Grown and Equity in Mindanao (GEM) program.
