7. Love all these by a great renditions of a song that came out not long after my first wife died. She was from Japan where I was stationed in Iwakuni in 1958 in the Marines.

13. No offence but the only thing I'm glad about is Hartford wrote this song, but I really do not like his or Campbell rendition, they are like talking through the song & not singing, quite boring.
14. In my younger days I saw John Hartford with Norman Blake on vocals and mandolin play the student center ballroom at Univ. of Ky. It was one of the most memorable concerts I've ever seen. John seemed like he was nicely stoned on pot - but it was all cool. Hartford was a great songster and bluegrass artist...really he was in a class all his own.

20. I was lucky enough to see John Hartford twice during my college years in the mid-70's.  He was a great musician and entertainer.   He just sat there on his milking stool and played, except when he stood and danced (clogged).  RIP John.
