Getting High Injecting Snake Venom
We met with a guy who's been injecting himself with snake venom for 20 years and he looks better than ever. -- Check out Steve's Comment Response video here! http://bit.ly/Venom-Response -- The hemotoxins which attack human blood cells in a tree viper's venom can result in an agonising death in less than 30 minutes. The neurotoxins in a cobra bite can kill a person in half that time. for the past 20 years Steve Ludwin has been sticking all this lovely deadly snake juice in a syringe and mainlining it all the way to immortality. Privately milking an array of deadly snakes including rattlesnakes, monocled cobras, and a few casual vipers thrown in to the mix, Steve has been injecting what would for any normal human be fatal amounts venom into his body since the late 80s. The basic principle - laid out by pioneer herpetologist, Bill Haast, who died last year at the age of 100 - is that regular exposure to the venom results in the body developing an immunity. Steve claims to not only never get ill, but that cobra venom is the ultimate pick me up, with effects lasting a days after injecting, making Steve stronger, faster and more resilient. Finally it looks like mainstream scientific research might be catching up. Me: "OH WOW this guy is fucking cool... He's injecting snah.... WHAT DA FUCK ARE THOSE FACES IN HIS TSHIRT?"
-
Weird white folks smdh

Sure, this guy looks much younger than he is. But clearly 20 years of injecting NEUROtoxins into his body has done more damage than this guy probably realizes. Whenever there's a closeup of his hands, you can see them shaking uncontrollably. These are called hand tremors, and are caused by (among other things) toxins that have damaged the brain and/or nervous system.

I'm not even going to lie, at first I was like "look at this crazy ass white boy doing white people shit" but honestly after watching more I can't even hate because he is SOO passionate about something that is so taboo. You have to be confident within yourself to tell the whole world that you do something like this and for that he has my upmost respect

Looks like his nervous system is taking a hit from this with all that shaking. I would like to see how he does with time off. I think when you force the body to rebuild its tissue and other things like this it helps you live longer. But it should have rest points in between.

It's fascinating though to see how the human body can become immune to just about anything..

Would the snake venoms have any effect if he drank them? And do any of you know if oral consumption of Snake venom can somehow be beneficial? I really wanna know :)

there's one thing for sure, Steve Irwin would of liked to chill with this guy.... imagine being this guy not having to worry about the consequences of getting bit by any venomous snake...he's Imune to snake juice

cool buddy👍

This guy is a fucking moron and a crude scientist rolled up into one big blunt.
I get the he-be-jee-bees just thinking about snakes. -
Honestly I wonder if the energy boost and whatnot is from the adrenaline after getting injected :\

I think the outward "oh jee i wish i knew what the venom was actually doing" attitude is a little obtuse, there is voluminous literature and resources on the pathophysiology and mechanisms of insult for the multiple flavors of venom. Also, dude, get yourself a set of micro-pipettes and a mini rotor centrifuge. The dilution methodology is obviously very inconsistent. You can easily develop at least a rudimentary protein quantification methodology for your extracts. Something like a Bradford Assay might work could easily be done in a DIY lab setting so, you know you actually have at least a rough estimate of the concentration of extract you have batch to batch, although this might not work for the cobra alpha toxins since they are pretty short peptides.
