Love Shetland, too. If you enjoy the show by all means have a look at Ann Cleeves' novels that the tv show is based on. She even sneaks in the occacional knitting reference.... ;-)

Thank you for this, ii felt as I was there with you.The mini tiny skeins I know from the wool embrodery, but I have never seen such beautiful colors together ..Have a happy time with your new aquisitions.

I so so enjoyed your lovely podcast - thank you!

Hi Nicole, I am a fiber fan and Canadian who lives in Florida - found out about you on recommendation from some other Canadian podcasts I enjoy. Great episode!
-
Lovely - thank you! I'll be interested to hear how things transpire with the Drys wrap using 2 strands of Woolfolk fingering (so dreamy looking) instead of 1 of worsted and 1 of fingering, as the pattern suggests. I'd love to come up with a more budget-friendly alternative. The medicinal plant garden tattoo is just wonderful.

i am so happy I found your lovely podcast. I used that Woolfolk yarn to make a shawlette earlier in the year. That yarn was such a delight to work with, so soft and nice to have in my hands. I would love to just buy it all! I searched Netflix for the Shetland Series, but it isn't available here in the U.S. I'm currently binge watching The Crown. I look forward to your next podcast. I have a very similar aesthetic to you. I love muted colors and gray.

So happy to have found your podcast. We traveled to Rhinebeck last year and loved it, so it was neat to hear your adventures. I love "quiet colors" so I'm very much drawn to all of your knitting projects! :)

Hi Nicole. I just watched your latest episode and loved hearing about your adventures at Rheinbeck. I am in New Zealand, so there is no chance I will ever get to go in person. So hearing all about it is just lovely. Im keen to know how you get such a neat and tidy edge at the ends of your rows. It makes your knitting so neat.
Happy Knitting....Nicky -
I love your pin! Thank you for sharing your rhinebeck adventures!

I've recently discovered your podcast and I'm really enjoying it. It was fun to hear about Rhinebeck as I don't think I'll ever go myself. The gold yarn you found is a perfect contrast to all the greys and blues! I wondered if you'd managed to finish your rhinebeck sweater from the last episode?

you got me hooked on 'Shetland' now! :-)

I'm currently reading the Shetland series books, I didn't know there was a TV series! It's not on the US Netflix, but I can get them via Amazon. I'm looking forward to watching. In the book I'm reading right now there's a woman trying to start a fiber arts business offering retreats to spinners and knitters, and I want to go! I don't think the author intends her to be a very sympathetic character, but I like her :)
I just designed and knit a hat with the Woolfolk Far yarn, and it was such a treat! Besides being incredibly soft, it has an interesting chain construction which makes it so light and warm. It also has that same lovely halo that yours has. I love the wrap pattern you're knitting, I was tempted by that too. -
PS thanks for managing to do the show notes! The are a big help. I will watch Shetland now!
-
I enjoyed every moment of this, Nicole! Just like a lovely friend dropping in tea. There is little chance I will ever get to Rhinebeck, but I can enjoy it vicariously through you! Loved seeing your haul, especially that last lace weight and the gold-dark skein!

I adore your tattoo!

Thanks for another lovely podcast. Have you noticed all the knitted sweaters the cast wear in 'Shetland'? Such a cool series.
