Fuel Tech gets air pollution control orders worth $3 million Fuel Tech Inc., a world leader in advanced engineering solutions for combustion and emissions control systems for utility and industrial applications, has received multiple air pollution control orders totaling $3.0 million. The largest of the orders was an award of two ULTRA systems for retrofit coal-fired units in China. Further, the company received an equipment order from a major domestic utility to provide selective non-catalytic reduction systems on three combustion units to address NOx emission requirements under the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule. In addition, the company received additional CSAPR-related orders for computational fluid dynamic modeling for five units from multiple customers that are evaluating SNCR technology as an option to comply with their NOx emission requirements. Equipment deliveries are currently scheduled for late in 2011. National Cheng Kung University to develop offshore wind farm National Cheng Kung University has signed a cooperation agreement with Metal Industries Research and Development Center and Taiwan Generations Corp. to build an offshore wind farm. Petra Solar introduces IntelliView platform for smart grid management Petra Solar has launched its IntelliView smart energy platform, which provides utilities with a suite of state-of-the-art services to manage a wide range of smart grid applications. The IntelliView smart energy platform provides critical analysis of smart grid application data to enable remote command and control of large distributed energy systems. With the Network Management System as a foundation module, users have a dashboard view of all elements of the communications network. The Energy Management System module of IntelliView enables a centralized view of a virtual power plant consisting of a large installed base of SunWave smart solar systems distributed over a broad geographical area. The Petra Solar Network Operations Center also expands its smart energy services offering from support of SunWave smart solar systems to the option for full remote 24/7 operations of Petra Solar designed smart grid networks. http://www.dailyenergyreport.com OUR FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/DailyEnergyReport OUR TWITTER: http://www.twitter.com/dailyenergynews
