Frog Farm Chronicles - Update 9, Swirl filter cleaning and a small hole does the trick.
Well the swirl filter experiment is over, No surprises, The filter works best with the hose at the bottom of the bucket and the shade cloth has the promise of holding back an insane amount of solids and the water in the tank is amazingly clean, Now to put it to the test with the catfish, Good luck filter.....lol Life in Thailand on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/fishermantofarmer My Thai Homestead Website http://www.mythaihomestead.com/ My other youtube channel, WorldTravel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRMLdOCmr2JY8GmkeDvrAAA/feed Twitter https://twitter.com/PaulDollimount

I have been curious as to how your filter is made with the bucket and hose? Your setup actually has made me want to set up my own temporary frog housing tank in my 260 gallon square tank. Your Filter looks like a good means of keeping it clean. Is there any sort of certain pump that you buy? much interest to me.

Were there some tadpoles in with the frogs? Your turkey is about the same size as the wild ones here. Do your's ever fly? The wild ones don't migrate but they can fly short distances .

great job.
-
Are you going to eat them
-
Looks like it's working really well 👍
Do turkeys scratch at all or just graze on the lawn & other plants ? -
Can you make the length of the house a bit longer the sound of the water drop makes me crazy?
-
Do you eat more then just the legs?

Thats working great man. The frogs look very big. Simple and easy I like too just had to change a bulb in the head lamp of the car had to take the whole dam lamp out to do it not so simple and easy.. No mowing when you have turkeys eh.

you should leave the sludge and stuff in the 'filter', after a while enough bacteria will build up in there that you will never see dirty water or have high ammonia/nitrogen levels because the bacteria will break it all down. no more green water because the nitrogen levels will be too low for anything to grow in there.
you could set up an empty tank with a filter, keep putting food in there and you'll get the bacteria build up, then you can transfer some to other filters aswell. -
cool colors on them, the have grown some in the last while.

That dirty water from the filter is gold mate. Pour it into your vege beds! Oh... um... shit those frogs are ugly. If you eat those buggers, i wanna see it on Youtube (but I will mock you for it.)

You should give the nasty water to your plants, for nutrients.

Beautiful froggies, lol....if you would consider frogs to be beautiful! Just chillin',.....probably on the alert for some flying insect to pass by 'em and PRESTO, out sticks their long tongue,....and yeah, have you noticed any hunting/snatching insects activity of theirs? Cool how this new filter method works better and the li'l turkey poults with Momma Hen, voracious critters huh? For a second I thought you were going to point to one and say, this the Quail turkey poult, btw how is the Quail Turkey? Uprated.
