Food Sweet Food in India : lunch in Munnar (Kerala)

The 1st home food world tour - Le 1er tour du monde du repas chez l'habitant --- FRANÇAIS CI-DESSOUS --- For our first home meal in India we elected Munnar. This small mountain town in northern Kerala is famous for its tea plantations which mainly belong to the wealthy business man Tata. He owns almost everything in the region of Munnar. To visit the tea plantations we spent the entire day with Ganesh, a rickshaw driver who invited us for lunch. In his village, almost every one works in a tea factory. The houses have been built by Tata to host the tea workers near the factory. Ganesh lives in one of them with his wife, his parents, his sister and her son. Cette petite ville de montagne dans le nord du Kerala est réputée pour ses plantations de thé rachetées pour la plupart par le richissime homme d'affaire Tata. Ici tout lui appartient ou presque. Pour visiter cette région vallonnée nous avons passé la journée avec Ganesh, un chauffeur de rickshaw qui nous a invité à déjeuner chez lui. Dans son village très excentré, la grande majorité des habitants travaille dans l'usine de conditionnement de thé située à quelques centaines de mètres. Les maisons ont même été spécialement construites par Tata pour y accueillir des ouvriers travaillant le thé. Ganesh y habite avec sa femme, ses parents, sa sœur et son fils.
