This movie is a follow up to my infamous Filipino Pig Slaughter of 2009. In 2011 I revisited the farm and recorded another, more detailed pig slaughter. I recorded the entire process, from catching the pig to the cooking of it. I added words to the movie to let people know what they are doing and why. This is the way pigs are slaughtered, and have been slaughtered since mankind first killed pigs for food. No, the pig is not being "tortured". And to answer everyone's big question; the pig is being killed int he manner it is because the family needs to collect the blood to use as food. Almost every part of the animal is used. They don't "use a gun" to shoot it in the head because that would stop the heart from bleeding and then they wouldn't be able to collect the blood. Also, these people are poor and can't afford to buy a gun. Save your racist and xenophobic comments for someplace else. The purpose of this video is simply to show you how pigs are slaughtered. In "civilized, western" countries, the pigs are raised in factory-farm, in small cages with no room to turn around, and never see grass or blue sky. They are stunned and hung upside down, their throats are cut, and they die. This pig lived a life of several years on this farm, in the jungle, with fresh food and water, in the outdoors. Which life do you think the pig would prefer before coming to the same demise? If you eat any meat, wear or use something made of leather, then an animal died. Don't be a hypocrite and call these people barbarians or animals for killing a pig, when you just finished a hamburger or sausage, while wearing sneakers made of leather. Unless you live a total vegetarian lifestyle and wear hemp shoes, you don't have the right to criticize. Besides, when the oil runs out or there is a major disaster and we all have to go "back to the farm" and live off the land, this is how you'll get your food.
