I went with my daddy down to Whitwell about 1950 to hear a fiddler he said was really good. It was Bob Douglas.

My Aunt Nell was a Woman of LIGHT, Faith, Fortitude and Unfathomable LOVE, she gave to others before herself, she ALWAYS took care of My Grandpa Douglas, and Grandpa ADORED his Little Sister (You can see/hear Aunt Nell with Grandpa @TheGrand Ole Opry in attached video) ... Not only could he perform at this level when he was 100 years old, he had that vast library of music all inside his head. You notice he used no sheet music for reference at any time. What an incredible musician.
