ARAPIMA GIGAS proud to see people keeping these legendary beasts alive. and also breeding them. I don't have any arapima, cuz they don't have big cool teeth like some other oddball. But they are deadly and worth it someday I think. When I get a home. Right now i'm just keeping african pike, and purple wolf fish. I might choose to keep aimara wolf fish and african tigerfish as well in future. Giant monster oddball river monster fish.

This is what a real monster pond should look like
-
They've grown bigger ever since :)
-
not only pellets but dead frogs? srsly?
-
Seems sad to be feeding that fish pellets. What a waste.

In here, we feed Ara with catfish. Sometimes, a poor cat slipped into Ara's pool.

The arapaima (Arapaima gigas), or pirarucu as it is known in Brazil, is one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world. Its local name derives from the indigenous words for red and fish, a reference either to the striking red flecks on the scales towards the tail or the reddish-orange colour of the filleted flesh. For its huge size, the arapaima is sleek and streamlined with its dorsal and anal fin set well back near the tail on its largely grey to green body.

I'd hate to fall in there...scary...

How are all frogs overpopulated? Over a third of frog species are on the brink of extinction and the rest are endangered.
-
why not just feed them little children
-
Awesome!
