Farmers level Hybrid rice seed production in Barisal, Bangladesh Variety: BRRI hybrid dhan3

Jalal Akand, a progressive farmer has been producing hybrid seeds of BRRI hybrid dhan3 with the assistance of BRRI since 2013. CSISA-BD project of IRRI also supported him for preserving seed providing moisture meter, IRRI Super Bags as well as comparing the seeds field performance also with other available 3 hybrid varieties in Agaijhara Barisal. According to farmers choice as well as depending on yield performance, BRRI hybrid dhan3 selected as the best variety.
