Lmao, I live in South Florida and work with immigrants. I can say with full confidence, that these people's jobs are secure.
-
They can't find workers, because they have used illegal aliens for so many years, that the American workers gave up and moved on. I remember when I was young I would pick apples in Washington.
-
come on over legally, not a problem!
-
I cant tell you how many idiots tried to tell me nobody that is legal will work thoes jobs
-
make a program if kids want to get college loans they have to do works that illegals do, but they have to study something they can get a job in, this could be sorted many ways to kill the problem of illegal work and too many people with useless degrees and on full debt.

It was always my understanding that there was a scheme in place where Mexican day labourers could legally work on US farms during the day or longer seasonal work and then return to Mexico? Why not introduce a 'Guest worker policy' do it legally. I think there are people who just don't want to do it legally.

He will build a gate, it will be HUUUUUGE!
-
Of course prices will go up. Middle and lower income people always pay in the end.
-
Over 12 dll an hour and they can't find people already in the country??
-
These use to be the summer jobs for school kids to earn 💰
-
Cut welfare and you will have all the workers you need!
-
"And those costs have to be passed along to consumers."
NO, they don't "have to be." Corporate America worships the bottom line, they do not care about consumers or workers. -
Shoddy reporting. Why did the farmer who claimed prices will go up as a result of staying above board with labour practices not reveal himself?
-
That's fair but at the new wage, it would be beneficial to hire USCs. Also how about open it to willing vets as part of some agricultural program? President Trump.....let's make a deal sir.

STOP WELFARE
Relocate that recipient family to a field job at some farmer's crop.
That particular farming town will have aboost in rentals, food markets, clothing, etc...
The cost to initially relocate will pay itself out.
AMERICA BECOMES GREAT AGAIN JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE. -
back in the 80s during summer breaks me and cousins and other school mate's would tassel corn and walk soy bean fields for a summer job me white and black in mid central Illinois we were paid right for teens

Get all of the lazy ass welfare adults, both men AND women, off of their fat diabetic asses and hire THEM! That ought to take care of difficulty in hiring americans!
-
It's simple economics. If you have a product and you can't be competitive on the market then you go out of business. You don't have a right guaranteeing you a moneymaking business. If citizens won't do the job and/or the product becomes too expensive for consumers then away you go.

I remember when food was cheap and we had legal migrants come in to pick the crops. The story that legal help will cause food prices to go sky high is just a fat lie. Let the farmers grow and things will be fine.

There should be blanket enforcement of a national law to require legal workers. People in the area should not be drawing unemployment if a job like this is available nearby. They can at least work part time and reduce the amount of taxpayer money they are drawing in unemployment. This sort of thing is more easily managed at a local or state level. The overhead cost of government is obscene giving the number of citizens not in the work force. The federal government need to be halved. Property taxes need to be halved. Everything is way beyond the pale. The government keeps lying and hiding the truth, as if the public needs to be protected from it or as if telling them the truth will create public panic. This is all fool-headedness. People need to what the real deal is and then they need to put on the big boy pants and their big girl skirts and tackle the problem instead of continuing to mindlessly adhere to traditions and run scared from any changes. Permissive coddling and petting of the lazy doesn't fix anything. "If you want the state to feed you, then you're going to go out to here or there and work!" is what fixes things. Authoritarian? You bet! It's either that or complete breakdown and chaos.
