Farmaggedon -- The True Cost of Cheap Meat
Over a three-year period, Philip Lymbery (CEO of Compassion in World Farming) travelled the world with a camera crew to explore the complex web of farming, fishing, industrial production, and international trade, which effects the food on our plate. This film exposes the hidden costs of cheap meat and the devastating impacts of factory farming on people, animals, and the planet. It follows Philip as he hears firsthand from people affected by factory farming in Argentina, China, Mexico, Peru, and the USA. The full story is told in Farmageddon: The True Cost of Cheap Meat, published by Bloomsbury, and now available in paperback. Farmageddon is now available to order online and in all good bookshops: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1408846349/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=1408846349&linkCode=as2&tag=compinworlfar-21 Help us stop factory farming. Anthropocentrism...

That "Olympic sized swimming pool" is nearly 10 acres.

The animals look so happy and free roaming...the chicken digging a hole and rolling around..

And therefore also since I started out as a vegetarian in the Spring 2006 and have been a vegan since 2008 :-) <3

Or you can be vegan and enjoy both cheap food and the fact that you don't abuse any humans or animals.

If we tried to farm how they are suggesting we would all starve to death! Also I would just like to point out that those animals are not "wildlife" they have been bread for hundreds of years to do exactly what they are doing. If you set them free or whatever this video is suggesting they will just die of starvation! Also I would like to point out that yes, shit smells like shit! However it isn't some toxic mustard gas that causes you to have to hold your breath, trust me I am in it all day! Finally using the manure as fertilizer is actually a good idea. If you are suggesting organic farming or sustainable agriculture or any of this other nonsense then you don't have a choice! Its either manure or chemicals or starvation ... your call!

Why is this channel still abstaining from promoting veganism, what you saying is like saying, don't fuel the killing of animals and the planet, only fuel it on Mondays and Tuesdays!

What a primitive species we are.

With the guise of a nonprofit organization, this nigga Philip Lymbery vacations all over the world on company dime. I wish I could live so dishonestly, but my conscious wouldn't let me.

Animals in organic meat and antibiotic free farms in the u.s. are destroyed instead of treated once they get any kind of illness. Research the farms where your meat is reared, buy local and do not buy industrial or big label meat. Nothing good has ever come prepackage and prelabeled when it's produced behind closed doors and bought by people willing to look the other way.
