Farm Sanctuary ~ Thanksgiving for the Turkeys 2013
Factory Farms are bad for both animals and the environment. Corporate America aka Big Ag have dug in their heels and refuse to reform the highly profitable factory farming. Enter Farm Sanctuary, which is leading the movement to reform industrialized farming. "Celebation for the Turkeys" allows guests to hangout with rescued animals and meet others who want to bring compassion to mankind's treatment of sentient creatures.

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but I'm not a big meat eater either. I do believe that factory farming is not only cruel, unnecessary and bad for our planet, but the food it produces is not as healthy and doesn't taste as good. We have a local small turkey farm here where the turkeys get to roam around a big field and are not overcrowded. The owner was interviewed in our local paper and it was clear she loved her turkeys. She also said something that, if it's not their motto, should be: "Our turkeys only have one bad day." Have you guys heard my "Free-Range Chicken" song? I have a few versions up on youtube. Just search my name and the song title. I especially like the video that a company called "automatic chicken coop doors" made. GB
