Love the scenery Kev.
Same thing for me, in Tokyo I felt the background stress even on free days, but when going to Iwate I felt so relaxed and much more happier, specially since I could see and walk to the mountains so easily, im born up north in Sweden in a area called The High Coast so mountains is my thing :) -

Would you move to the country side Kevin and commute to the city to work? Though I know you have plans to move back to Canada in the near future.

The thing i like most is the peace and quiet away from the city. I think that's one of the reasons I would live in the countryside if I ever lived in Japan.
