EXTREMELY GRAPHIC: Snake Meat For Dinner - Restaurant Tour Part 2
We take a walk on the wild side and visit one of the more visited snake restaurants in China. Be weary of watching though because there's no filter here. The first step is where the guest selects the size snake he/she wishes. They weigh it and it gets in line to be butchered. The first step is the butcher grabs the head of the snake so it can't move and with a sharp pair of scissors, cuts off the head into a red bucket, and then holding it up side down to drain all the blood into a pan. After that, the snake is dunked into a large vat of boiling water to cleanse the outer skin and then brought to the next station where the scales are removed with a stainless steel scouring pad. After that, the snake then receives an incision down the entire side to have the innards removed, and then brought to a cutting board to be cut up in sections and then placed on the try ready to be cooked in the certain style the guest asks for. We were only there to film this process and didn't order anything.

the only thing i find utterly and completely horrible is how he's throwing them around. :/ Storing them like they do, well we do he same... Treating them like they do, well.. we do the same... Still just sad to see. But interesting to see how it's made. never had snake before. =O

the only extreme graphic i see here is the heap up of snakes in this cages cause they look like slowly asphyxiate for those who are below

Damn, 1:55 this dude just walking around in the blood swamp with mandles on. Sheesh

I hope that day never comes when I have to eat things other than sheep and cow meat.
-
I hope the snakes were knocked out before they were decapitated. Snake heads can live a long time, unlike mammals.

I've always imagined snake to be quite tough and chewy.

My MGS3 memories brought me here

I love snakes, but then, I also love ducks. Hell, I've had both as pets, but I'll still eat one if it's served to me. There's just something gut wrenching to me about the actual killing part when it comes to snakes, specifically. I think it's that I relate to them more, being misunderstood creatures. That, and usually people kill them with such disdain and malice. It's like they want the poor things to suffer...But this...I didn't have a problem with this video. I think it's mostly because it wasn't like some 'rattlesnake roundup' bullshit, where they just make a sport out of killing the things, and only a few actually get used. Instead, it's a proper source of food. I don't know.
