First we wanted to visit a mountain tea plantation ( Sizukaen (Green tea garden) ) and have a cup of tea there. Unfortunately the tea house was closed so we decided to go further. Our initial plans was to reach Mount Maya (摩耶山) but we overlooked the path and continued to Mount Rokko (山六甲). The path was very steep but beautiful. Some of the trees were ages old and there were many big sequoias. We were passing by many small temples and shrines, abandoned cottages and orchards. The path was crossing over small rivers and springs. When we realized that reaching Rokko peak is beyond our powers we turned back to Kobe. Soon we'll try again - better equipped this time!
