euronews Terra viva - Farmers in India convert to organic cotton
Cotton is one of the most polluting industries in the world. India is the second largest producer after Turkey. Although cotton only occupies five percent of cultivated land in India, it accounts for more than half of the total pesticides used in farming there. The cost to the country has not just been environmental.

@kr45576 You're making (incorrect) generalization. Big organic movement, over 10 years, in US. I have started Garden of Lia, to help families plant backyard gardens. There is "Millions against Monsanto" in the US. A few large corporations is not the "mind" of Americans! We are fighting this all the time, and trying to help farmers around the world! We still donate more food than other countries! We can end death by starvation on this planet right now! We have enough food! Disruption from war!
