PLEASE ALLOW ME. I would like to post a brief of my personal data and history of my career - ROBERTO "Boy" QUICIO, JR. My full name is ROBERTO MAGALLANES QUICIO, JR. I am a native of Lanao del Norte, having been born and raised in Tubod. I am a product of the public school (primary and elementary) education. Secondary was acquired from a private/catholic school, all in Tubod. My civil engineering degree was acquired from Cebu Institute of Technology and I attended several management courses and programs in Ateneo University of Manila. I am the fourth child of Roberto Diaz Quicio, Sr. who worked with the government and hailed from Daan Bantayan, Cebu and Epitacia Fama Magallanes, from Tagbilaran, Bohol who was public school teacher. I have three elder sisters: Erlinda, a teacher, who now resides in the Middle East, Emma, a doctor, who resides in Luzon, and Revelyn, another teacher who resides in Germany. A younger brother, Romeo, an architect, resides in Metro-Manila . I started my civil engineering career as a Sales and Service Engineer of Philrock and Philmark. Philrock is the pioneering company in ready-mix concrete. Philmark handles highly specialize construction materials. Then, transferred to Atlantic Gulf and Pacific of Manila (AG & P) where I experienced, as Operations Engineer, the construction of high-rise buildings and other industrial structures. Then, got the experience about Fire Protection when I worked with Invictus and Valiant. I then put-up a specialty contracting firm, QUICIO Construction, which markets and services highly specialize construction materials then, went into general engineering and building contracting, under BAR Construction and Development Corp. The lure of working overseas entered into my system, so I accepted the offer of Phil Iron Construction and Marine Works (PICMW) , as Assistant Vice-President, to manage PICMW's works in the Middle East, doing jobs for Taisei Saudi Arabia Company (TASACO) and Blount Engineering, wherein we did power and oil refinery plants. The work overseas with PICMW brought me to South America, where we handled projects of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), projects like power, oil refinery and desalination plants. After the South America assignment, I went home to do some management and consultancy jobs like tanks farms and container port and yard. PICMW re-hired me as Vice-President and is now part of the management who handles local and overseas contracts. One notable overseas job is a gold refinery plant in Papua New Guinea and a big fabrication work for MHI for their Vietnam project. I am now based in Mindanao because I also handle the ship building and ship repair facility of PICMW in Misamis Oriental. I represent PICMW in various organizations like, as a Trustee of CDO Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a Director of CDO Chamber of Industries (members are RIChem, PhilKao, Del Monte, Coca Cola, STEAG, Phil Sinter, Phil Agro, Asia Brewery, Kitkai, Bali Palm, and some other big ones in the region). I am an active member of Rotary International, the Phil Institue of Civil Engineers. Aside from being a licensed civil engineer, I passed the Board Exam for Real Estate Broker and the licensure for the Master Plumber. I have attended many lectures, seminars, programs and other courses, which enhanced my personal qualification to manage things. I had the opportunity to travel to other countries like Japan, for some negotiation, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan for exploratory talks,Middle East for actual construction, Oceania countries like Australia and Papua New Guinea for negotiation and construction and some European countries, and saw for myself, conditions which could be applied in our country. With these qualifications, I believe I am more than capable in managing the affairs of the LGU of the Province of Lanao del Norte. Don't you agree? Please consider me on May 9, 2016, to do the JOB as Chief Executive of the province. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGlJC_OdA2A&list=PL0GVpOZfZb4-t-8Unh0jrax036GJaum0L&index=3
