Hey Emmy. Suzy-Qs! Thats what that whoopee pie looked like. They are made all kinda ways tho. Pumpkin-banana nut...etc. Yum! Have you trued kasseri cheese? Ih my. Stinky YUM YUM. Even my gdaughter likes it. Also Vermont fudge? Oh boy. Used to get it in the Whitmans boxes and in stores at holiday time but I can't find it now. So sad.

whoopie pies came from amish- when they had leftover cake they'd make the little sandwhich parts and then use leftover frosting to make them. the kids would say "whoopieeee!" when they opened lunch boxes. lol. this was the story I've always been told (live with a lot of Amish near in Indiana).

I never really cared for Maple Candy, it's far too sweet for me. Also, here in NH, the stuff that I've had are somewhat hard as well. Also, around here we have these delicious maple sandwich cookies, they are kind of like oreos but with like maple leaf shaped butter cookies and a maple cream center.
