Japanese is so ingenious, creative and ecologic people. I admire them.

If only Bichemistry companies could stop monopolizing in the seed market.

The Azolla is a nitrogen fixer as well as cover for the fish and yes, of course it is duck food. Remember this is a rice field, if not for Azolla and snail eggs there's not much for a duck to eat.
-
dont the ducks eat Azola? Is it sustainable to leave the ducks in to the same water as the Azola ?

Takao Furuno is my hero T-T
-
We need to apply this in our farm!!!
-
How many ducks per acre?
-
what was that a white guy trying to sound Japanese..........verrryyyyy racist.
-
What a clever man he is!
-
What's ironic is that this method IS amazing and very eco friendly and yet Takao's book The Power of Duck is now super difficult to get, at least in the Americas. He really had a spirit to share his method. Great man.

the reason why many rice-growers want to resort to chemical rice-farming is simply because they are not real farmers. they are just persons who grow rice for the profit unlike this farmer who enjoys every single second of what he does as a rice farmer. there's huge difference between a farmer and a businessman. real farmers care and think for the nature while businessmen don't care at all, they just want to earn money.
