DOWN WIND - Wind Farm documentary - FULL DOC in HD
Down Wind is the explosive documentary that examines Ontario's controversial rush into industrial wind farm development. Produced by Surge Media, Down Wind exposes how this Canadian provinces' green energy dream turned into a nightmare for rural residents forced to live among the towering 50 storey turbines. We hear searing, personal stories of people experiencing mysterious health problems, insomnia, depression, even thoughts of suicide; their lives turned upside down by the constant noise and vibrations given off by the massive wind turbines. The documentary also reveals the staggering economic costs of these wind farms to taxpayers with huge subsidies going to big wind corporations. And how inside connections have made some government cronies wealthy, while rural communities suffer. The film aired on Canada's Sun News Network. If you make electricity out of coal, you do it with 70% heat losses and you have less coal in the pitch and more enviroment Problems and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. If you harvest wind energy, you are archieve the return of Investment easier and earlier than with an Investition in a coal power plant ore a coal pitch. You archieve a break even Point in CO2 footprint, so you can use the electric power to get out CO2 out of the atmosphere, and store Energie to convert CO2 to methane or Methanol. You must cool down the 70% heat losses in large chimneys, in coal power plants. After the break even point of energy harvesting to energy of constuction of a windpowerturbine , you can use the electricity tho clean waste water or to make fresh water out of salt water for Los Angeles for example. In Germanys Ruhr area , after the mining industry has gone the soil sinks several Meters ,that chreeks and rivers streem not flow downhill and pumps have to lift the water over the sink of the land untill we in Germany decide to leave the housing vor ever. So Coal is not there and the depending coal Industry is not there and you have to pump until doomesday. A Windturbine Investment you harvest energy and ineffency of a Windturbine is only a matter of cost but not a matter of enviromental dissaster. And you get from electricity harvesting the energy you can use in the form of ligth or heat or radiowaves or signals or Motion you want with 90% efficency . The houses over a coalmine are skacks when the groundlevel sinks and whe see the coal are used in a ineffiecent steam engine a la James Watt. A light bulb is more energy efficient than a candle.

If you want Balance and looking to replace Coal and Natural Gas fired Power Plants, look what Xcel Energy is doing in the US State of Minnesota. They've Shut Down 3 Coal Plants since 2008 and replaced them with Natural Gas Plants, which reduced emissions by ~96%. Wind Turbines make up 13% of Minnesotas Electricity, but to get those projects approved, They had to go through a Nightmare of road blocks. Anyone who didn't want a Turbine around they're house, they didn't get one. And they eventually found places to build them.

HAHAHA! I just got hired with a turbine company, these people look so stupid. Go get educated instead of just believing 'what makes sense' and blaming all your problems on shit. P.S. their pretty much noise free, standing right under one you just hear a subtle swoosh. Sell your house or stfu & when you do sell your house and move far away, all your 'insomnia' and 'headaches' will still persist, well, because turbines ain't got shit to do wit it. HAHA! Funny how their all perfectly fine during filming, no complains.

What a fucking joke...so ridiculous I can't believe it.

So... Exxon is into making soap operas now? jajajaja
Dude, this is so transparent. -
The lady giving the guided tour of her home "since 1979" is typically NIMBY.

So dust from unpaved roads is the prime cause of particulate air pollution. What prompts the spread of unpaved roads? Wind turbines are connected to each other by unpaved roads where there were once pastures, as the industrial structures need maintenance by trucks and cranes.
Food for thought. -
So, how many people die each year from the pollution of wind turbines? 0. How many get emphysema, cancer, asthma, from wind turbines? 0. How many people die from the pollution from coal-fired and natural gas power plants, each year? 30,000, in N. America alone! Some 500k people get emphysema and asthma, each year from fossil-fuel power plants, just in N. America. I've lived right next to wind farms and have a distributed wind turbine in my own backyard and have NEVER gotten a headache, stress or any other lame ailment from wind turbines. The people in this documentary are a bunch of whiners. Get used to it, this is what the future of energy looks like!

Whoever produced this should be ashamed of themselves!!!!

There is another film on this issue released by TVO. I believe it is called "Big Wind" If you can find the film then I suggest watching it. It presents and explains the issue a lot better.
