Divine Euphoria Farmland Visit - July 2012

Individuals can own small plots and build their own farmhouses, cottages or cabins for week end stay and vacation stay. The land is fertile and lot of vegetables and fruit trees are growing there in the plots owned by individual buyers and also in the common properties. (However, if you are looking for land only for farming, you can buy cheaper farmland in the nearby areas.) This place is ideal for the busy people from Bangalore and other metro cities who want a piece of farmland with all amenities like club house, swimming pool, library, play area, restaurants etc. The amenities are separated from individual farm plots to offer good privacy to the plot owners. My kids enjoy the mountain bikes and spend hours on it each time we visit there. I visited the place 4 or 5 times so far and stayed for weekend in a cottage once. It is about 60 km from Bangalore. Once you reach Kanakapura area, it is very calm and quiet. The property is located on the way to Cauvery river. Tourists to Cauvery river can stay here overnight once the project is completed, probably by mid of 2013. What made me attracted to this project is the peaceful atmosphere here. My kids have no outdoor activities in Bangalore, but they don't want to go back home once we reach here. They keep running everywhere all day, even though it gets pretty hot outside by noon. But lot of huge trees still give lot of fresh air and the wind is enough to cool us down quickly after a lot of play outside. Many executives, IT professionals and other high position people are building their vacation homes here. People who have bought the plots are building cottages and farmhouses there, which they will use for short stays. During the rest of the time, the empty farmhouses are available for rent. They have one restaurant there, which is still under construction as of today. Once the restaurant is open, it will be convenient to stay there but until then, if you are planning for overnight stay, bring some food yourself or be prepared to cook in the cottages. You may get some assistance in cooking from the workers there but they will expect some tips I think. Admission and stay: People who own a plot there can visit and stay in the common cottages or tent houses for free 2 times a year.
