If everyone just bought a vacant lot for a hundred dollars, planted a black walnut tree in the center and kept the weeds mowed in the summer you could really improve the look of the area.

Stupid economist the city needs income blah blah
Before cities were built people farmed food people planted grapes.
Without the supermarket and shopping malls this is what
People work for. This is humanity at its roots
Not big banks and auto industry -
Plant some vineyards there and oranges. Make a wine industry

Detroit needs an economic action plan for agriculture and should maybe think about ,,only having regional taxes,, in all startup business of any kind with a population of 500,000 people. The good news is that the US is needing new agriculture opportunity and Detroit is poised to get in on that.

Got to love the nay saying intellectuals that sit in their ivory tower telling everyone how it should be done as others are out doing what must be done. Jackass.
