Deniliquin Rice Train with G512 & X31 - 22/9/14

The Deniliquin Rice Train operated by QUBE, runs from the Sunrice factory at Deniliquin in southern NSW to the Port of Melbourne, carrying containerised rice products. On this particular day the train was led by CFCLA's G512, and the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre's X31 - restored to near original condition in Victorian Railways blue and gold livery. This video is shot on the empty 'Down' journey, between Barnes and Mathoura. This is one of only a few Victorian broad gauge (5'3") lines that extend into New South Wales, and the train is limited to a sedate 40km/h - making for a very easy chase!
