Two boring fuckers!
-
iv been using compost tea and rock dust for my potted trees for about 2 years. iv found that the potting soil turns into fine dust but the plant is absolutely lucious for years.
-
seems like the brew would be more ideal for potted plants especially annuals.
-
Flat Earth confirmed

DONT FEED YOUR PLANTS EVER.... Feed the microbes let them feed the plants.
Plants excrude sugars from their roots to attract certain types of microbes.
so there are about 100k to 1billion bacteria in a tablespoon of soil. plants give off certain sugars to attract certain specific types of microbes. -
b&q used to sell volcanic rock dust. use both...
-
They're both a couple of salesmen for these products. All arguments therefore are null and void.
-
what would happen if you use rock dust with hummus and compost tea for compost tea provides the binifitial bacteria to break down the rock dust and make the trace minerals available for the plants and hummus for the natural fungus within wouldn't the plants benefit more from using the three in a balanced number

Wonderful video. I now have an allotment. The only thing is gardening is incredibly hard work. I am having to clear the grass but I was a bit extra and bought some trees and plants. No real experience of gardening. I will learn anyway. Thank you John for all your videos. You are a revolutionary.

Must be being paid big money to push there rock dust products to the sheeple

What about worm casting tea? My garden produced amazing produce in year one and what I do is bury almost all of my fresh vegetable waste (and there is lots because we're vegetarians). I also have red wigglers (but we have far too much raw vegetable waste), so we just dig a hole a bury the majority of the waste and cover it with a light level of screened soil (to get the big rocks out) to keep the aphids at bay. This, for our household, has worked the best and given us lovely rich soil; however, next year I will add rock dust to my vegetable waste. Also, yes, I agree, organic non-GMO seed is the better way to go.

Where's the double thumbs down button?
-
I use compost tea always, pixie dust is good but hard to get,
-
without the microbes in the compost, the trace minerals dont become biologically available to plants to uptake. So they are both quite essential.
-
I love both
-
i asked my local nursery if they had rock dust and they were like 'wtf is that'

crushed my own River Rock for years take River Moss dry it out add it to my compost pile and it to my compost tea in my pile it breaks down all the wood chips that I cut into minut pieces every branch small minut pieces with a pair of lappers River Moss break these pieces down really fast and of course so does the manure from a ranch I paid for barely anything and that's what I'm trying to say people sure everybody in these comments have good advice but just don't forget if you're going to go buy something if you have the physical ability to do anything yourself like Crush Rock or mix compost just keep in mind you're buying a product somebody took sources from the planet and made the material in which you are buying if you have the means and the ability simply take sources from the earth whatever it is you're one to make and you can make it yourself it might take you a few tries to get it right don't kick yourself if you don't get it right the first time and I'm not bashing anybody but those of us over thinking and giving advice that's exactly what I think some of you were doing over thinking or trying too hard one of the two either one it's not a bad thing we all do it you don't know what you want are you don't know what to do until you've tried or done or had all the bad things first or the wrong things first
-
to start with the video awesome
however some of you giving advice in the comments.
I say this politely. it's not always worth it to over think what you trying to do, I mean yeah you can't go wrong with either one of those products.
My point being if some of you are asking questions because you're on a budget and wanting to understand here's a little advice if this helps you yeah this rock dust comes from these exotic parts of the world or wherever the fuck they get it. This is what I do I live in the Sacramento Delta in California right on the Sacramento River I go down there to the river I get granite rocks I get whatever the fuck kind of rocks I find colored ones with little white lines are real exotic looking and I find to be rich I've been doing this a lot of years now I was born and raised here also while I'm down at the river finding rocks since you know there's abundance of them while I'm down at the river I like to have an extra bucket or two and I pick up all the seaweed or river Moss you are the shit the tide brings in and I'd write out first because I'm not exactly sure about that river water and I have found that I've gotten better results drying that shit out first that Moss before I use it and I use it in my compost and I put it in my compost tea I put it in the actual water when I'm stirring and mixing it and I also put it in the gunnysack you know like a like a tea bag in course I put you know one of the one of those bubblers in with the bag and all that good shit but most the stuff that I have I have just the same shit these people and video do and I paid for very little and what I'm trying to say there is you're going to buy a product I don't give a fuck what product it is or where you buy it somebody is taking Earth material and making soil it all have different purposes which ever you choose to do and how to do it just keep in mind if you go down and buy a bag of manure that manure isn't some synthetic animal isn't letting me know where is actual shit from a real animal does rock dust that comes from these exotic fucking places on the planet but it's just a fucking rock that has minerals I mean you don't have to go that extra extra mile day what do the physical labor that I do but it still says you a lot of money because the way you look at it if you're going to go go home and be a gardener and there's a lot of shit you gotta have and just keep in mind people you're buying a product a product that somebody took sources from the planet it's not always easiest I mean it is always easy to buy it I guess but not really in the long run I work hard for my money and I find it kind of sick that people rather sit on their ass in front of a computer and not look at the sun rather than you know learn if I can trade that our ancestors have done over thousands and thousands of years that people might even have a clue who the fuck I'm doing what you're looking at the tide brings up take that I put that my compost pile I threw it in my tea I'll put it in the water and I put it in like a gunny sack and Brew it like a tea bag I've had a lot of success doing that and I liked it first I found that in my tea like a boss of fungus should I in the river rock I trust myself I mean just don't forget people these people who make these products or just taking sources from the earth they're not making synthetic rocks or nothing it's simply rocks that came out of mountains they washed down with the snow or whatever the fuck they watch out with and they could call on the river and who -
You both win! I've tried the rock dust with minimal results, but I have city water that smells like chlorine when you flush the toilet. So my next step is a boogie water filter and then I'll probably some tea after that. I like to try one thing at a time to see what actually makes a difference. Thanks for all your videos John!
