With this style cage you can put a lot of birds in a very small area, I don't think this is how I am going to make my cage but I do like the food and water on the outside, Wold be a lot less wastage. Now this makes sense to me!! Best way to do quails in Asia. Even I'm plan to keep quail like this in the Philippines. Yellow stuff is like gatorade for animals, reduces stress.

Were they 40 Baht each? That's about $1.50 here I think. Is that a good price for a laying quail there?

I just put 24 cortunix eggs in the incubator yesterday, depending on the outcome of the hatch, Ill be ordering more. they are a versatile bird to have on a small scale farm

Sad to see them. That gutter pipe as feeder is a good idea, I like it more than these round feeders, but you could put such a thing just like that in your garden ... must be horrible for these birds to stay in that cage.
