Commercial Goat Farms in India (Part 1) Qureshi Farm
Akbar Khan Qureshi, owner of Qureshi Farm www.qureshifarm.com shares "The Making" of his goat farm. In this video Akbar shares what he learned on the first day of Goat Farming Course he undertook. An Intense 12 Hrs a day for 3 days. After the course I realized it not difficult to have a vision but executing it and the overcoming the external factors you did not predict is the biggest challenge. As in my case - I did not predict travelling all across India travelling days but all in all - it is shaping up well! :) Akbar K Qureshi Leave a question, comment or video response below. i will contact you when im ready to start farming. :)
Jazakallah khair. -
I did it in Emarketing. Nothing to do with goat farming. :)

Ferrying cost differs, Im guessing a small pickup would be around INR9/KM but its something we recommend you get from your town. The price keep changing, you would have to msg inbox for the breed.

The best large breeds are from Rajasthan. We do have a lot of supplies to Andra and Karnataka and the Sirohi and Sojat perform very well there. Distance should never be the reason from stopping you to purchase a good lot. As you are going to be spending at least 2 years with the lot.
-
We have various breeds of sheeps and goats starting from Inr 150/live body weight to 1500/live body weight. You will be given the price list printed before you make your selection. Each goat is tagged, so after youve made your selection each goat is weighed and accounted for. About FB, i I receive a lot of friend requests a day, but I do not add till I havent met them in person. Masters in Emarketeing.

As mentioned we have a lot of clients coming from Andra and in Pickups. How many goats are you looking to buy and when. Based on this we could arrange the transport. They usually charge INR 8-10 per km. And it will be charged both ways. We could help in connecting you with the transport person who usually takes the livestock from this end. You could visit by Train, Jaipur and then Sikar and Fatehpur. We can receive you from the Fatehpur Station if required.

BTW you did your Masters in??? :)

Even I tried to send friend request but it seems you set a enabled privacy option so its not reflecting on fb ;)

Thanks alot for your quick response n help. :) Thanks once again for extending your helping hand in Goat Purchase by offering from your Qureshi Farm. :) 1) I know your farm is located in Rajasthan, do you have any farms (Branches) which are located at South West of Andhra or in this border area? 2) I believe ferrying is the major challenge and as well cost will increases if we buy from your farm located in Fatehpur. As distance between Fatehpur and my place Anantapur is 1,878.6 km one way

Your Welcome! :)

12 - Tricks you will learn over time - Cannot explain this 13 - There are by NABARD but I do not know the specifics 14 - Yes, there are fatwa's that allow it but its difficult to explain the people at the time off.
-
7 - If there is a demand for Organic meat you may but from my experience the market in India is not yet developed as yet. I tried it in 2012 in Mumbai but the response was below average. 8 - Yes - But not recommeded. It makes the goat fragile and the weight increased is either water/soda or fat which is not of economic value after slaughter. You will not have returning clients 9 - Vaccinations 10 - Qureshi Farm 11 - Eid

1 - You have to view my videos 2 - Cheap shed constructed with ChokaS and stones and chain link tied with tar 3 - Sirohi? Based on demand? Qureshi Farm 4- Cultivate 5 - Dry , Green and Concentrate that should total 2-3% of the total body weight 6- Minimum, but the basic is usual
-
1- No problem - you could lease at a reasonable price, keep the shed cost minimum and such that you can desmantle and refix at a different area. 2 - You can start with 25 in the first lot and increase 25 the next month and 50 the next month 3- ok - but you have to keep a close watch, they have to be trust worthy 4 - ok - random visits would be better 5 - I have not done it - but its upto you 6 - Gud idea
-
Sure..
-
It varies...could be from 2 Lakhs to unlimited.
-
Not sure.
