COFFEE FERTILIZER - How to Fertilize Plants with Coffee
A tutorial on an easy, cheap way to get your plants to explode in growth and size! This tutorial is aimed at my audience of carnivorous plant lovers and should only be used for Nepenthes and no other carnivorous plants. However, you CAN use this on any tropical plant that will like acidic soil! This method lowers the pH of the soil which makes it more acidic. That is the supposed reason for an explosion in plant growth. looking at these plants they look well fed but seriously lacking nitrogen hence the red leaves on some of those plants. classic sign of hunger in plants. I know some of the varieties do exhibit red stems and leaves but not like that so much.

be Carefull. .not all plants like coffee fresh. it takes a certain amount of nitrogen to break it down..this steals it from the plant. so instead best results bag it up or a large bin with some air holes and let it biodegrade for 6 months then it will be super sweet food for your plants.

I used instant coffee and it worked

hi, I need help for common plants like Mint, lemon grass, Curry leaves..What kind of food I can make at home to grow the plants faster and greener?? please help.

Use ice to cool the coffee? You coukd just let it cool down naturally...I guess this should be 'how to feed carnivorous plants whilst using as much energy as possible'. But I guess the environment is the lowest priority in the US

Oh I just know that you can actually pour the coffee itself for the plant, I thought it was only the coffee remaining. thanks for the video 👍👍👍

Ok, I'm going to state the obvious. You don't need to strain the grounds. I know this is your recipe, not mine, but you just said, some ppl go to Starbucks to get gounds. People, you can add straight grounds to your garden, it won't burn. However, I would water it in just so it gets down into the soil.

What's the water ph level does Nepenthes need? Thanks!
-
c'mon. it took 5 minutes to show me how to make coffee? then just cool it and water your plants is all you got? That takes less than 2 minutes to show and tell.

I hate it when they get that morning buzz, they try to attack me rather than having a good visit.

you can also pour left over coffee on your plant, or on a compost pile. Plants love it.
-
How is it awkward to take free coffee grounds from starbucks? Even their own website encourages it.
-
love your plants!

Awfully expencive way to go about it. I save all of my grounds and my son feeds his worm beds with it. Moldy ones are really good for this the mold helps break down the nutriants for the worms to digest and the grounds provide grist for the worms gut.At the same time sprinkle in some rock dust.Atrip through the worms digestive track helps break down the minerals so that plants can take them up though the roots. Feed the good bacteria in your soil. good soil is not just dirt.

Hey let me tell you the reason he has to do that to the coffee is probably so it doesn't kill the plant... Well you should know that carnivorous plants cant live with more than a tiny bit of nutrients so I shouldn't have to tell you.
