Clearfield rice planting (2001)

Video showing a new variety of rice being planted on select farms in Louisiana back in 2001. Clearfield rice would eventually become one of the more popular varieties for rice growers due to it's technology inhibiting the growth of noxious red rice. Danny Deshotel was planting the variety on his farm in Avoyelles parish.
