wait the chinese DIDN'T hack something into pieces?! that's a first. also live kaluga footage :)
also it was pregnant with 1.2 million eggs so if they released someone else would probably catch it and eat it for dinner so they did good in keeping it in captivity. -
Glad to see they preserved that remarkable animal.
-
Dayum huge... these chinese fishermen are protecting their national treasures eh... was half expecting them to eat it

You guys should learn to read the description before judging. They took this fish to a breeding center so that this fish could pass on it's genetics more efficiently.

My first thought when I saw the header was..."gee, bet it wasn't a case of the catch and release of a generally threatened species either!"
-
Why not catch and release? What good is it in captivity?
-
How on earth could they of got that in the boat thier was to guys mean while it took 10 people to carie the damn thing out of the boat ?wouldnt it flip or the boat would have went down a little bit cause of all the weight.
-
I really hope they didn't kill these.
-
wow 1st time the chinese didnt hack something to pieces
-
There are three species in this video that would make for interesting angling in the UK. The Kaluga is a monster and it would be interesting to have them in the lower Severn, Thames or Trent. Then there was the Northern Snakehead and the Chinese Perch/Mandarin fish.

them fish are ugly they look like moles

You guys saying they are harsh to keep he fish. Read the 'Description' morons. They took it to the breeding center because it was pregnant. And Sturgeons are almost endanger, so this may help boost the numbers from the list.
