Burning dirty coal without scrubbers puts lead, cadmium and mercury in the air that covers miles by the time it all comes down.
Before you say how great it is here that we have laws that got scrubbers placed, those laws only 'happen' when the budget-short EPA makes them happen, and then the violators get a slap on the wrist and it's business as usual the whole time. So at night we have local dirty-coal-fired (thank you GWB!) power stations blowing out their stacks all over local townships and farms with very little reporting.
Watch Gasland and Gasland II to see what's been happening to entire mountains in America. See people the news won't cover being driven off their land. Don't think that things are okay here just because you don't see it in the news the shit that's going down.
