China holds int'l goldfish 'beauty pageant'
Three thousand goldfish tried to outshine each other in an international beauty pageant in China for the title "World Goldfish Queen." In the first pageant of its kind, the goldfish contestants were displayed in rows of bowls in the Southeastern city of Fuzhou. The fish came from more than a dozen countries, including Brazil, Indonesia and Malaysia. They were judged based on breed, body shape, swimming form, color and overall impression. This is more professional reporting of this goldfish beauty pageant than Anderson Cooper's, who essentially mocked this event in China as "ridiculous"; which goes to show the how unrefined "refined" people can be towards people of other cultures, societies, races, etc.
