China as the Limit of Capitalist Expansion
Capitalism is a system of great dynamic but even it too has its limits of expansion. Both Keynesianism and Austrian economics are based on an infinite growth model. Such a model can never last. Marx and early Marxists made these same type of predictions over a century ago and they were just as wrong as this speaker. Then and now Marxists have no understanding of economics or life and the human condition in general.
-
This analysis is wholly distorted and completely flawed. The speakers doesn't know anything about economics and completely disregards the natural state of the human condition, which is dire poverty and suffering; if you disagree study prehistoric man or even the human condition a few centuries ago. Capitalism has improved the standard of living far greater than any other system; there is no comparison. Unfortunately capitalism has been blamed for the incompetent policies and practices of the collectivists, statists and altruists (the anti freedom- anti-individual anti-human life crowd) whom this speaker is philosophically attached to whether he knows it or not.

Called chasing the bottom dollar. Though I'm not international socialist, as I understand that indigenous tribes etc are not part of capital and should never be part of it and therefore should never need such ideas as social class and feminism etc unless they develop it themselves in isolation. That is our burden as modern man. I'm not an internationalist socialist as I am a conservationist, a biologist, an have studied anthropology and psychology, including evolutionary psychology. I will never accept free travel of people or capital across nations and tribes as a given. I will never accept or want to allow for an international working class or an international ruling class. There will be no need for travel, and nothing to study are care for if we are homogenized into some sort of capitalist or socialist melange. The world will mean nothing to me when it is all invasive pests, and plants, and the same mix of people and culture in every place one goes to around the world.

Awesome video.

Why won't the manufacturing market just shift to Latin America or Africa

Countries that were once communists are now capitalist, and the countries that are now major capitalist centers will one day become communist when the revolution finally hits them, but capitalism will survive in other fallen communist states such as China. :/

Understood some of it, but wish I understood it all.

This may explain why the government of China has become so brutal to it`s own people in recent years. The leaders must be able to see what is coming and they don`t like it.

Perhaps we should start taking the Chinese Communist Party at face value - in that they claim, like Vietnam, to be embracing Western capital so as to go through the capitalist stage of production. Which might explain the rapid rate at which China has developed, almost like it was in a rush to go through the capitalist stage before Western imperialism inevitably moved against it. The West for the most part totally ignorant of Marxism, just sees the Chinese Communist Party as a bunch of greedy mandarins out to get rich.

"Blackadder: See there was this brilliant plan, this plan to build two grand alliances, two huge blocs of superpowers so powerful that nobody would dare start a war. There was only one small problem
Baldrick: What was that?
Blackadder: It was bollocks!"

I challenge your summation, The country of Brazil is planning on becoming richer in the next 20 years. A more accurate summation would be that capitalists are fluid and have thought out every outcome in order to overcome any obstacle. So goes China and here comes some other country. America only has to wait in line for their next turn. A location will always exist.

I personnelly would argue That india is the last frontier of Capitalism and if the Left wing radicals (Naxalites, general Communists and Anarchists) on the rise it could in a decade or two, a Indian Revolution and if that happens, Capitalism is fucked.

All hail our great prophet! Oh wait these sort of prediction have been made since the beginning of the soviet union.
Oh…, well in that case you sound as pathetic as those rapture Christians that keep on coming back regardless of how many times their end of the world predictions fail. (Not that that makes any difference) -
Capitalism will not just disappear. For now it is china that keeps capitalism alive, by consuming a huge share of the capitalist production (not just producing it). If the Chinese proletariat was to get social benefits on top, that consumption would go up even more. Ironically that means if the working class was to be granted better living standards it could save capitalism globally. The capitalist world would find a new safe place to export.
The western capitalists have understood that phenomenon perfectly and are hoping for china's internal market to save them from bankruptcy.
The Chinese are the most skilled and educated workforce in the world, which means that most likely we will see a shift of the center of capitalism from the USA towards China.
Capitalism either adapts fast and (or) generates war. The destruction of war creates new needs and markets thus making capitalism thrive again. -
There is a possibility that capitalism no longer relies on exploitation as the means of creating its surplus value, as in the case of Bill Gates, YouTube, etc. Their profits largely accumulate as a result of privatization of a public space, for which we pay a rent fee essentially. In this case, China isn't the end of capitalism, but perhaps its mutation into an even more virulent strain.
