There is a small patch of forest that has been cut off from the main Nyungwe National Park, called Cyamudongo Forest. Surrounding it are tea plantations and small farms. From most parts of the forest you can hear human activities and even children outside the park imitating the chimpanzees, which we captured here on this video. The nice part for tourists is that the park is small, and it is not a long hike to find chimps. The challenge for chimps is the genetic bottleneck and conflict with humans.
